The fight itself was pretty one sided. Mac Danzig seems to dominate the tentative Joe Scarola and ends up tapping him out via a triangle choke with less than 15 seconds to go in the first round. As the seconds tick down we hear Matt Serra pleading to his buddy, “Don’t tap, Joey, don't you tap."

Clearly disappointed after the fight, Serra explains that he thinks that the nerves got the better of his friend and he was looking for a way out of the fight. A dejected Scarola expresses his disappointment with letting Serra down, while Danzig moves on to the semi-finals.
