Fedor Is Headed To New York Monday, Will Announce New Contract And Billionaire Backer

Former PRIDE heavyweight champion Fedor Emelianenko is headed to New York City on Monday for a press conference to announce his new contract with M-1. There is also speculation that M-1 will announce the companies first event in the U.S. The event is rumored to take place in February, with Emelianenko headlining against a yet to be named opponent.

Emelianenko is also expected to go over the details of his new contract at the press conference and reveal the mysterious billionaire backer for M-1. The press conference has been tentatively scheduled for Monday at 5:30 p.m. ET at the New York City offices of fashion designer Marc Ecko.
